Established in 1999, San Francisco Sourdough Eatery specializes in sourdough bread and deli-style sandwiches, built on decades of tradition. Our sourdough starter is the foundation of every loaf we bake fresh each day in-house.

We are known for our signature round sourdough loaves, deli sandwiches stacked with 95% lean premium meats, fresh produce, and our proprietary spread. Alongside sandwiches, we offer crisp salads and hot soups designed to complement our bread.

BEST BREAD in Idaho! INFECTIOUS POSITIVE attitudes. Brilliantly happy staff. Quaint, comfortable front "porch" - a gem of a suite-spot tucked behind some offices. Oh; Yummy, fresh sandwhiches with SHREDDED lettuce (it works!!). will return asap for more! VERY GLAD that we found this place.

I have been wanting to try this place for months. Their limited weekday workday hours (and the distance factor) prevented me from trying them. Well, spring break came to town, and I had to go to Boise for a doctor's appointment. Afterwards, I drove down here. It was a little confusing to find at first, given the maze of doctor's offices around it, but I'm glad I did.

Have been coming here for many years, first time reviewing as my sandwich was exceptional today. The bread was warm right out of the oven! Is there anything more comforting than fresh sourdough? Place was jumping! Staff extremely busy but they always are friendly and helpful. Thanks for filling my belly and warming me up on this cold Boise afternoon!

I can't believe I haven't done a review on this place yet! This is our go to when craving a deli sandwich. The sourdough bread is amazing. I usually get either the ham and Swiss or the pastrami with their coleslaw. This is, in my opinion, the best sandwich shop in the Boise area!
